If you are you a driven and curious individual, seeking to influence positive change by working collaboratively with your colleagues and customers, then this is the programme for you!

Throughout our two-year programme, you’ll experience amazing opportunities from undertaking real-life placements across our three Businesses which each support a diverse range of industries. Across three placements, you’ll get to experience many different aspects of the work we do here at Spirax Group, including an international rotation that allows you to fully immerse yourself in work and life in a different country.

As part of this global programme supporting our thermal energy and fluid technology solutions Businesses, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself during three placement rotations of eight months duration.

As a part of this placement, you will experience the end to end sales process, meet our customers and really get to grips with consultative and solutions selling. You will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with a diverse range of people and departments to gain a full understanding of the path ahead.

Your international placement

You will have the incredible opportunity to undertake one of your eight month placements at one of our international operating companies.

GradCon25

We recently brought together our global graduates from five countries to the UK for GradCon 25. This biennial five-day event is designed to help our graduates learn, develop, and discover who they are as individuals and who they aspire to be as future leaders.

GradCon offers a variety of workshops and sessions designed to enhance their skills and knowledge and provide a platform for graduates to express their thoughts and ideas. The event also allows the graduates to meet senior leaders and mentors from Spirax Group.

About you

Are you passionate about making an impact, as well as collaborative, curious and driven? These are some of the qualities we believe it takes to become a leader in our organisation where having a positive impact on the world is a priority

You’ll need a minimum 2:2 honours (or equivalent) in a degree related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths or Business and eligibility to work permanently within the country you are applying to without requiring a visa. To get the most from the programme, flexibility and mobility within the country that you are applying to is necessary for all candidates.

Development is crucial to supporting you in your career and we supply it in bucket-loads! From external training to internal learning sessions and even a global graduate conference. You’ll also have a dedicated Development Manager assigned to you for the duration of the programme and beyond.

Frequently Asked Questions about the programme

Building an extensive support network is an important part of the GGLDP and being surrounded by other graduates is a key part of this. To ensure this sense of community, we would like all of our graduates to be based within the surrounding area of our country hubs.

For example, we want all of our UK graduates to undertake their first placement in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire within our largest UK Manufacturing site or our UK Sales Hub. Cheltenham is also home to our brand new, sustainably built Group Headquarters.
You will receive ongoing training that is specific to each placement, as well as extensive development and skills training that will enable personal growth in preparation for your role as a future leader within the business. You will also have permanent access to our brand new learning platform Spark, which contains a huge library of articles, videos and podcasts as well as mandatory courses which will be allocated to you.
Each graduate will be supported on a daily basis by their line manager. This support will be supplemented by a Development Manager who will meet with you regularly to discuss your development opportunities, manage your mid and end of year reviews and provide advice to ensure you are getting the most from the programme. You will also be allocated a senior mentor who will be able to offer career and development advice, and a graduate buddy who you can chat to informally about your shared experiences on the programme. Last but not least, you will have the ongoing support of the dedicated Early Careers team who will assist with anything from day-to-day queries to international placements and securing that all important permanent role!

Frequently Asked Questions about applying

1. Once you have applied for the programme using the link: Early careers, completing an application form, submitting your CV and optional Cover Letter, your application will undergo initial screening.

2. We will then ask you to complete a Kornferry psychometric assessment through a link that will be sent to you.

3. Upon review of your assessment, we will invite you to complete a 5 question video interview – you will watch recorded questions from one of our graduates, and you will need to record yourself answering the questions, in English, on any device with a camera and microphone.

4. Once submitted, your video interview will be screened and successful candidates will then be invited to the final stage, the Assessment Centre, where you will undertake a series of group and individual tasks.

5. If you are successful, you will be informed within a couple of weeks, and we will begin the onboarding process ahead of your start date with us in late September 2025.
