We're committed to being a visible, vocal and active advocate of LGBTQ+ inclusion all year round
That’s why we’re proud to partner with a range of Pride organisations and why we’re showing solidarity with LGBTQ+ colleagues and communities in June and beyond.
Everyone is Included, is our Group Inclusion Plan. It sets out ten Inclusion Commitments for our Group which include being a visible, vocal and active advocate of LGBTQ+ inclusion. That’s why, this Pride month, our Spirax Group brand is proudly reflecting the colours of the Pride flag.
Incorporating the Pride flag into our Group logo during Pride Month is a small but powerful way of showing support and allyship for our LGBTQ+ colleagues, customers and communities. It aligns with our Values (particularly those of Respect, Integrity and Safety) and is just one way in which we are helping to create safer, more inclusive workplaces and communities.
Why this matters
We know that when people feel safe to be themselves at work, they can contribute more confidently, collaborate more openly and perform at their best. As a Group, we believe that fostering an inclusive, respectful and supportive environment for all our colleagues is not just the right thing to do, it is essential to building strong, supportive and high performing teams.
Supporting our colleagues
Our visible advocacy during Pride month is one way we can help to create an environment where Everyone is Included.
But inclusion is a continuous commitment that needs to be backed by action. Over the years, we’ve been working to support our LGBTQ+ community:
- Making LGBTQ+ inclusion part of our Group Inclusion Commitments. These commitments are our global minimum standards on a wide range of inclusion and wellbeing topics. Across Spirax Group, we have committed to be a safe place for all LGBTQ+ colleagues, wherever we operate, signing the United Nations LGBTI Standards of Conduct for Business and becoming an increasingly vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ inclusion through events like local Prides
- Creating an LGBTQ+ and Friends Global Network to connect and support colleagues across our Group on LGBTQ+ matters at work, home and in the community – building awareness, advocacy and active allyship
- Being part of the Stonewall Global Diversity Champions programme since 2021 to both demonstrate support for LGBTQ+ communities and continue to learn as an employer too
- Proactively supporting engagement and participation in Pride events, including four years of partnership with Cornwall Pride and three years supporting Pride in Gloucestershire in the UK, and colleague-led events in countries including the USA, Brazil, Thailand and Germany
- Running training, hosting events and developing resources that help all colleagues better understand the importance of inclusion and how to be effective LGBTQ+ allies – including through our internal Pride Online series of webinars on different LGBTQ+ topics

We firmly believe that diverse teams bring a great variety of thought, skills, experience and perspectives to our Group.
