Today, 16 January 2024, marks the 10th anniversary of the tenure of our Group Chief Executive, Nick Anderson, and also his retirement from the Group after 12 years at the Company.

Under Nick's leadership, Group sales and profits grew by a multiple of over 2.5, the number of our colleagues has doubled and the market capitalisation has nearly quadrupled, firmly establishing our Group as a constituent of the FTSE100 Index. More than half of this growth was organic, with the balance coming from successful acquisitions that strengthened and enhanced the Steam Thermal Solutions and Watson-Marlow Businesses, as well as establishing our Electric Thermal Solutions (ETS) Business.

Nick also leaves our Group with firmly embedded Sustainability strategies, Inclusion and Equity programmes, as well as successful leadership and talent development programmes that contributed to the selection of a strong internal successor.

To mark the occasion, around 70 colleagues came together in person, and were joined live by more than 500 colleagues around the world, to celebrate and recognise the collective achievements of the last ten years under Nick's tenure. This included video compilations featuring Nick's own reflections as well as memories and warm wishes from colleagues past and present. The event took place inside the Group's recently refurbished Headquarters in Cheltenham (UK) which will re-open in Spring 2024 following a comprehensive two-year refurbishment programme.

“It’s been a tremendous journey and the best 12 years of my executive career.”
